Annual Events
Indian Institute of Management Bodhgaya held its second annual convocation for its batches 2017-2019 &2016-2018. The venue for the event was the Mahabodhi Convention Center, the chief guest for the occasion was Dr. Krishnamurthy Subramanian, Cheif Economic Advisor, Govt of India. A Ph.D. from Chicago-Booth and a top-ranking IIT-IIM alumnus, Krishnamurthy Subramanian is one of the world’s leading experts in banking, corporate governance and economic policy. The event started at 10:45 am with Saraswati Vandana followed by an inaugural speech by the director of IIM Bodh Gaya. Dr. Vinita Sahay said that the students had reached an important point from where there will be lots of opportunities for the students. After the inspiring speech, Dr. Krishnamurthy Subramanian was invited to speak to the graduating batch. “Speech of Chief guest”. Dr. Krishnamurthy Subramanian recollected incidents from his own life and career, while he addressed the students. Shri Uday Kotak the executive vice chairman and managing director of Kotak Mahindra Bank who is also the Chairperson of IIM Bodhgaya addressed the students recollecting when he also passed through a similar stage from his alma mater. He advised students to choose a path of their own liking and always try and give back to society.
The convocation ended by students throwing their caps in the air symbolizing a new path in their career.
